Mr. Xie Fuzhan Met with Sudanese Delegation

Mr. Xie Fuzhan, Commissioner of National Bureau of Statistics met with the Sudanese Delegation headed by Mr. Eltayeb Mukhatar, First Under Secretary, Ministry of Labour, Public Service and Human Resources Development of Sudan on April 26. The Delegation was invited by Ministry of Personnel for visiting China.

During the meeting, Mr. Xie pointed out that China and Sudan maintained good relations of cooperation, NBS is willing to carry out the cooperation and communication with the Sudan Central Bureau; and the Delegation provide a new opportunity on statistical cooperation for both sides.

For the draft agreement on statistical cooperation raised by the Delegation, Mr. Xie said that, this agreement can be the basis of further discussions. Both sides can undertake appropriate exchanges on it; however, NBS needs to seek further domestic authorities for approved this draft agreement.

The Delegation briefed the Sudan's statistical system and the Population Census to NBS; and Mr. Xian Zude, Director-General, Department of Statistical Design and Management introduced China's statistical work profiles to the Delegation.

Messrs. Du Weiqun, Counsel, Department of International Cooperation, and Mr. Wan Donghua, Deputy Director-General, Department of Comprehensive Statistics, attended the meeting.
