Prof. Yasuhiro Iwasawa of Tokyo University, Japan, was invited to visit DICP from 7th to 9th of July. During his visit in the institute, he was invited to give a memorial lecture for the cerebration of the 60th Anniversary of DICP, and the topic of his lecture was "Chemical Design and Dynamic Structures on Catalyst Surfaces for Innovative Catalytic Processes".
The lecturing session was chaired by Prof. LI Can, Member of CAS and Vice-Director of DICP. He also presented to Prof. Iwasawa with an Honorary Certificate for Lectures in Memory of the 60th Anniversary of DICP. About 100 DICP scientists and graduate students attended the lecturing session.
Prof. Iwasawa was also invited to visit some of the DICP laboratories for academic exchange, which included the Bio-Tech Research Division, the State Key Laboratory of Molecular Dynamics, the Space Catalysis & New Materials Laboratory, the Chemistry of Composite Hydride Materials Laboratory, the Fuel Cells Laboratory, the Fine Chemicals Laboratory and the State Key Laboratory of Catalysis.
