Lecture by Prof. Xianlin Han of Washington University in St. Louis

Prof. Xianlin Han from Washington University in St. Louis was invited to deliver a lecture in memory of the 60th Anniversary of DICP on 25th August. The topic of his lecture was "Shotgun Lipidomics and Alzheimer's Disease", in which he introduced in detail the new method of shotgun lipidomics and its application in the curing of Alzheimer's Disease(AD). This new method was developed by Prof. Han's research team, and studies on this new technique have important significance in the etiopathogenesis of AD and the discovering of markers.

The lecturing session was presided over by Prof. XU Guowang of DICP. About 50 DICP scientists and graduate students attended the lecture, and had in-depth discussion with the lecturer. An Honorary Certificate of Memorial Lecture on the 60th Anniversary of DICP was presented to Prof. Han by Prof. Xu on behalf of the institute after the lecture, and Prof Han was also invited to visit some of the research groups of the Bio-Tech Division of DICP.
