3rd Annual Symposium of the Glycobio Chitosan Oligosaccharide Research Center

Co-sponsored by the Chinese Health Care Association, the Saccharide Engineering Committee of the Chinese Bio-Engineering Society, the Chitin Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society, and the Acting Committee of Chitosan Oligosaccharide and Future Human Health Engineering, the 3^rd Annual Symposium of the Glycobio Chitosan Oligosaccharide Research Center(GCORC) was convened on 16th August in Dalian. The symposium was co-organized by GCORC of DICP, the Shandong KRBio Bio-Medical Development Co., and the Dalian Zhongke Glycobio Bio-Tech Co. Mr. ZHANG Fenglou, Former Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Health of China, Mr. ZHANG Wenfan, Former Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Civil Administration of China, Chairman of Chinese Future Research Society and Chairman of Chinese Elderly University Association, Mr. ZHANG Chenglun, Vice-Chairman of the People's Political Consultative Conference of the Liaoning Province, Prof. GU Jianxin of Fudan University, and Prof. TIAN Gengyuan of the CAS Shanghai Organic Chemistry Institute were present in the symposium.

Plenary lectures were delivered by Dr. ZHANG Xuexi, botanic physician of the General Hospital of Shenyang Military Region, Prof. CHEN Yaohua, member of the Expert Committee of the Chitosan Oligosaccharide and Future Human Health Engineering, Mr. ZHOU Tianchang, Plant Protection Station of the Pucheng County of Shanxi Province, and Prof. DU Xuguang of DICP, in which topics such as clinic application, plant vaccine application, and research progress of chitosan oligosaccharides were discussed.
