The 4th session of the 11th the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) of Dongguan concluded yesterday, with nearly half of its proposals concern the economic development and urban construction in Dongguan.
The annual political advisory meeting in Dongguan concluded yesterday. The Chairman of the CPPCC of Dongguan Mr. Liu Shuji (middle) presided over the conclusion ceremony.
By 5 pm on January 19th, members of the CPPCC of Dongguan had submitted a total of 281 proposals on economic development, industrial advancement, social security, legal system and other fields, according to Dongguan Daily's report on January 22nd.
55 proposals were related to Dongguan s economic development. 74 addressed education and medical reform, and 67 were about legal system and social security.
85 of them were on the urban construction and management, accounting for the highest proportion-30%-of all the proposals. This goes with Dongguan Government s policy which vows to transform Dongguan s old urban areas into new ones in 2010.
A review meeting on the proposals will be held by the Proposals Committee of Dongguan CPPCC after the Conference concludes. Then the proposals will be transferred to different government departments for providing suggestions to their policy making.
