Dongguan Food and Drug Administration will highlight a policy to support the development of bio-pharmaceutical industry this year, said the Administration during a work conference on March 4.
The Administration will support bio-pharmaceutical makers by providing industry guidance, policy advice, easier access for administrative approval, technical supervision, information services and extended assistance in setting up R&D centers, according to Mr. Chen Xijiang, the Director of the Administration.
A number of meetings are set to be held where relevant government departments will pulled together to work out a policy for promoting the development of bio-pharmaceutical industry, according to Chen.
Currently there are more than 30 companies in Dongguan engaged in the pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution industry, but few of them are internationally recognizable brands.
