The opening ceremony of Taiwan Hi-tech Park in Dongguan's Songshan Lake was held last Sunday (Nov. 21). Wang Yang, secretary-general of Guangdong province attended the ceremony and declared it opened for business. The completion of the main public infrastructures took less than 8 months since the park commenced construction at the end of October last year.
Taiwan Hi-tech Park in Songshan Lake is a theme park specifically established for Taiwan high-end industrial projects. Its key introductory objects are high-end products from the electronic information industry and other emerging Taiwanese industries such as renewable energy and new materials.
"Market competition is ultimately the competition of technology and innovation capability," said Wang Yang. He hopes that the Taiwan Hi-tech Park will serve as a demonstration platform for Dongguan and even Guangdong Province's adjustment in industrial structure. "Guangdong Province and Dongguan City are willing to provide high-quality service and good environment for Taiwan enterprises to invest in Dongguan while promoting cross straits economic collaboration," said Wang.
