A National R&D Base for Steel Structure Starts Up in Tianjin

On October 16, 2009, a commissioning ceremony for 1st Phase Project of Steel Structure Manufacturing Co., Ltd. of China 20MCC Construction Co., Ltd. (20MCC) and an inauguration ceremony for National R&D Base for Heavy Large-span Steel Structure were grandly convened in Ninghe Economic Development Zone of Tianjin City. Over 80 officials and representatives were present at the event, including: Vice President Wang Xiufeng of MCC Limited; Wang Zhigang, Director of NPC Standing Committee of Ninghe County; Director-General Li Jian for Industrial Management of MCC Group; Chairman Li Yong and General Manager Zhang Mengxing of 20MCC; Chairman Tan Baodong of Steel Structure Manufacturing Co., Ltd.; heads of concerned departments of Tianjin Municipal Government and Ninghe County; and heads of various relevant cooperative partners. The ceremony was presided over by Vice Magistrate Li Runde of Ninghe County.

Vice President Wang Xiufeng of MCC Limited, General Manager Zhang Mengxing of 20MCC and Director Wang Zhigang of NPC Standing Committee of Ninghe County addressed at the event. Chairman Li Yong of 20MCC and President Yue Qingrui of MCC Group Central Research Institute of Building & Construction (CRIBC) unveiled the nameplate National R&D Base for Heavy Large-span Steel Structure.

Steel Structure Manufacturing Co., Ltd. of 20MCC is located in Ninghe Economic Development Zone of Tianjin City, covering an area of over 230,000 square meters. The 1st Phase Project covers a floorage area of 18,000 square meters, with an annual output of 150,000 tons for steel structure, and the main product is heavy large-span steel structure. The successful commissioning of the 1st Phase Project marks a brand new era of vitalization for growth the steel structure business of 20MCC.
