Management from CNOOC pays visit to COSL

(10 October, 2006) China Oilfield Services Limited ( COSL or the Company , stock code: 2883HK) announced that Mr. Fu Chengyu, President of CNOOC & Chairman of COSL, and Mr. Luo Han, Vice-President of CNOOC, have recently paid a visit to the Company, to understand the latest developments in the Company s R&D.

Mr. Fu s visiting party received a report on the project development of the Company s Enhanced Logging Imaging System (ELIS), and inspected the major research projects of the Nation s 863 Project , including FCT(Formation Characteristic Tools) Etc. Mr. Fu was very pleased to acknowledge that the ELIS has made sound progress in integrating into the Company s technical facilities and has commenced operations in Middle-East and Bohai.
