COSL smoothly assembled the deck module of its semi-submersible rig COSLInnovator

China Oilfield Services Limited COSL or the Company announces that its wholly-owned subsidiary COSL Drilling Europe AS CDE has smoothly assembled the deck module to the ship hull of its second semi-submersible rig COSLInnovator in Yantai CIMC Raffles Shipyard today. This progress is of a milestone importance to the whole construction process because it indicates that construction of the main body structure of COSLInnovator has basically been completed, kicking start stages of engineering finishing and system testing.

COSLInnovator and the soon-to-be delivered COSLPioneer are designed and being constructed in accordance with drilling system specifications provided by National Oilwell Varco. It deploys a dynamic positioning system Class 3 DP3+ and embodies drilling and accommodation functionalities on a single platform.

Compared with other platforms in the same league, COSLInnovator is highly automated and easy to operate and maintain, providing a more desirable and safer working environment for crew members. COSL Innovator is designed and constructed in accordance with requirements of the Norwegian and North Sea Waters and can operate in all waters around the world.
