News reports on COSL Bin-Hai-517 seismic vessels

(21 October, 2008 - Beijing) China Oilfield Services Limited ( COSL or the Company , HKSE stock code: 2883, SSE stock code: 601808) says its seismic survey vessel Bin Hai 517 entered into Russian waters by mistake as it tried to escape from thunderstorms on its return journey after operating in offshore Canada. It is now being held in custody in the Port of Petropavlosk in Russia. COSL is now in negotiation through relevant channels for a mutually acceptable solution to the incident. COSL will keep stakeholders informed of the latest progress of development relating to this vessel.
