COSL's second drilling rig in Lybia commenced operation

(18 September 2008 - Beijing) China Oilfield Services Limited ( COSL or the Company , HKSE stock code: 2883, SSE stock code: 601808) announces that its second drilling rig in Lybia, COSL-7004, commenced operation smoothly recently.

This marks another successful move following the start of the first rig in the country, COSL-7002, in May this year. These represent another milestone in COSL s overseas expansion of its onshore drilling operations.
