Oct. 22- Moira Stilwell, Head of the Higher Education and Labor Development Department of British Columbia, Canada (BC), paid a visit to GDUFS along with the Assistant of the Head Valerie Richmond, Executive Director Randall Martin and Vice President of Royal Roads University Cyndi Mcleodm. They were greeted by Sui Guangjun, Liang Jie, Guo Guihang, Chen Linhan to discuss a future partnership and exchange programs.
Sui Guangjun shared that the delegation visit was very special. He went on to introduce the history and development of our school and called GDUFS the "South China International personal training basement". He spoke about the strong employability of our students which is currently ranked second in China following TsinghuaUniversity. Sui also gave examples of our school's partnerships with different universities in various countries and expressed his hope to form a partnership with the BC delegates.

Moira Stilwell said that her first trip to Guangzhou was very honorable. She hopes to build a strong partnership with GDUFS and plans to discuss about the cooperation further, and also develop some new patterns of the partnership.
After exchanging souvenirs
In the afternoon, some high level officials from the education department in Guangzhou had a round-table meeting about higher education and exchange programs. Liang Yonghong gave a warm welcome to all the attendants. He said the relationship between Guangzhou and BC is very close, so the development of cooperation is inevitable. He also pointed out that the Guangdong Provincial Government pays a lot of attention to the development of higher education. As China already has a close relationship with Canada on the history and literature aspect, he hopes both parties will continue to expand and develop their partnership in the future.

Moira Stilwell agreed with Liang Yonghong. She thinks university students should go outside their country and study or work in China or other countries. Moira Stilwell is looking forward to working with Guangzhou in the near future.
