University President Prof. Zhang Xiangwei meets visiting Japanese Prof. Okuda Hiroshi, who has been lecturing in the School of Foreign Languages on September 18. President Prof. Zhang expresses his sincere gratitude to Mr. Okuda Hiroshi for his concern showed on the development of Japanese education in the University. A professor of Himeji Dokkyo University, one of the sister universities of GDUT in Japan, Prof. Mr. Okuda has come to give lectures and devoted hundreds of volumes literatures to Japanese majors over the past years. He also extend his wish that the two universities will strengthen the academic exchanges further and make the most use of the platform to enrich Japanese education in GDUT.
Two days later, President Prof. Zhang meets another Japanese professor Mr. Kunimoto Katsushi from Nagoya City University, which is research-oriented and enjoys a history of more than one hundred and twenty years old. Mr. Kunimoto extends his wish to cooperate with GDUT on behalf of his president, stressing the common place shared by the two universities in industrializing scientific results in industrial design field. President Prof. Zhang agrees with Mr. Kunimoto, and hopes the two universities?? cooperation in industrial design will embark on a smooth course and apply the results into industrial use soon. During the meeting, President Zhang signed the cooperative agreement with the guest.
