On the afternoon of March 24 2010, Vice President Professor Zhang Li met the visiting four guests from Curtin University of Technology, led by Mr. Walter Ong, Director of International Student Admission Department. Professor Zhang introduced the situation and the latest developments of our university to the guests and held a cordial and friendly discussion on exchange of teaching staff, student exchange and joint training of postgraduates as well as some other topics of common interest. The two universities also signed a memorandum of cooperation.
According to the memorandum of cooperation, Curtin University of Technology would provide opportunities for graduate students of GDUT, including Faculty of Electromechanical Engineering, Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Light Industry and Faculty of Environmental Science and Engineering, to study in Australia. Based on the 1+1+1 joint training program between the two universities, graduate students of our university would be given the access to the Master s degrees of both universities. The memorandum of cooperation has made specific terms on the applicants academic performance in GDUT, their English level and application procedures and it would be implemented from 2010.
