On the morning of March 8 2010, a 19-member student cultural exchange delegation from Prince of Songkla University Thailand arrived at Dongfeng Road Campus, beginning their visit of GDUT. They would make cultural exchanges and have practical training in GDUT within a period of 10 days to 2 months. Vice President Professor Zhang Li held a simple but warm welcoming ceremony on behalf of the university. Professor Zhang first expressed her warm welcome to the guests. She said exchange and communication activities promoted the two universities mutual understanding, deepened friendship and broadened the teachers and students horizon. She wished the delegation's visit success, presenting souvenirs to the visiting teachers and exchange certificates to the visiting students. Heads of relevant departments and faculties attended the welcoming ceremony.
GDUT and Prince of Songkla University have established a good cooperative relationship for over 10 years. In recent years, student cultural exchange and internship became important in the two universities cooperation. The present visit would further strengthen the links between the two universities and enhance the friendship between people of the two nations.
