On November 17, Vice President Professor Zhang Li met a delegation of Turku University of Applied Sciences Finland on University City Campus. The delegation was composed of Vice President of the University Dr. Olli Martti Juhani Mertanen, Dean of Faculty of Life Sciences and Business Dr. Juhani Tuomas Soini and Dean of Faculty of Technology, Environment and Business Dr. Liisa Ellen Kairisto-Mertanen.
On behalf of the two universities, Professor Zhang and Dr. Olli Martti Juhani Mertanen signed an agreement on exchange of students. The two sides agreed to exchange 4 students each year from 2011. In addition, Turku University of Applied Sciences will offer students of GDUT a free opportunity to attend the university summer camp each year.
After the meeting, the delegation gave a report entitled "An Overview of Higher Education in Finland and the Innovative teaching Concepts" to the administrative staff of GDUT.
