The New Elite Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan student Delegation, headed by Liu Zhiwei, chairman of Kowloon, Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, visits GDUT on the afternoon of January 21 2010. The delegation consists of 37 teachers and students come from universities in SARs of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Province. University Professor Zhang Xiangwei, together with Vice Presidents Professor Zhang Kun and Professor Zhang Li, meets the delegates and has a cordial and friendly talk with the guests.
Professor Zhang first extends his warm welcome to the delegates and introduces the latest development of university. He points out that the university has been attaching great importance to foreign cooperation and exchanges, especially those with Hong Kong and Macao universities. Over the years, a number of students and teachers have been exchange to partner universities for study and training. The President says himself has also visited Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan's colleges and universities and is deeply impressed. He hopes the university can further strengthen cross-strait mutual understanding, enhance mutual trust and mutual development with Hong Kong, Macao and Tai Wan universities.
