Taiwan University President Delegation visits GDUT

On June 29, 27 Taiwan universities presidents and their accompanies participating in the 6th Guangzhou-Taiwan President Forum visited the University main campus. University President Professor Zhang Xiangwei and Vice President Professor Zhang Li met the delegates and had a cordial and friendly exchange with them.
President Professor Zhang first extended his warm welcome to the visitors. He pointed out that our school has been attaching great importance to the exchange and cooperation with Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan universities, especially with those institutes in Taiwan. So far,, the University has established cooperation with Yuan Ze University, University of Kaohsiung, Taiwan Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology in the exchange of students and teachers. He hopes the presidents visits can further promote mutual understanding, enhance mutual trust and common development across the straits.
Mr. Fu Shengli, Presidnet of Yi-Shou University in Taiwan, expressed gratitude to GDUT for the warm reception on behalf of all members of the delegation. He wishes colleges and universities across the straits can strengthen cooperation for common progress, and promote cross-straits development of education. Later, Vice-President Professor Zhang Li accompanied the guests to visit the Engineering Training Center and the University City campus.
