Entrepreneurs from Panyu Visiting SCAU for Cooperation

Organized by the Bureau of Science and Technology of Panyu District, and Science and Technology Department of SCAU, more than 200 entrepreneurs from the agricultural sector of Panyu District gathered in SCAU to have a face to face communication with the agricultural experts of SCAU to seek cooperation opportunities . Vice President of SCAU, Prof. Chen Zhiqiang attended the seminar and delivered a speech.

Extending a warm welcome to the entrepreneurs, Prof. Chen presented our advantages in the aspects of science and technology, high-quality researchers, education and contribution to the society and reviewed the achievements in the cooperation programs of organic rice promotion and Phalaenopsis propagation. He invited the entrepreneurs to learn more about research achievements of SCAU and actively cooperate with us to industrialize these achievements while promoting the development of modern agriculture in Panyu District.

Mr. Liu Xinyu, director of Panyu Science and Technology Bureau, expressed appreciation to the hospitality of SCAU. He said that since they signed the cooperation agreement with SCAU last year, Panyu District had received much support from SCAU, and the cooperation with SCAU accounted for more than 70% of the total agricultural scientific cooperation programs in Panyu. He also said that their district attached great importance to the agricultural development. This visit was a good opportunity to further promote cooperation drawing on the research capacity of SCAU, and to improve the agricultural productivity of Panyu in an all around way. He called on the entrepreneurs to consult the expertise with an open mind and seek for chances to cooperate.

At the meeting, Prof. Lv Jianqiu, Head of Science and Technology Department introduced the research capacity, facilities and achievements of SCAU. The guests took site visits to other colleges and sought advice on problems they had come across in their practice, and exchanged views on possible cooperation programs.
