President Wang Chunqiu visited3 American higher learning institutions CambridgeCollege, ClarkUniversity and CapitolUniversity from September 20th to 29th.
Wang Chunqiu was warmly received at CambridgeCollegeby Dr. Tito Guerrero, President, Dr. Joseph Daisy, Executive Vice-President and others. The presidents exchanged views on the joint education program and acknowledged the achievements in the past 4 years. President Wang, in company of James Lee, Dean of School of Undergraduate Education, met with the 35 students from SDUST now studying at CambridgeCollege. He encouraged the students to accomplish their schooling there and then return to serve China.
President Wang visited ClarkUniversity on September 23rd. He discussed with President David Angel and Vice-President Davis Baird issues concerning the two joint undergraduate program at SDUST and assigned some side documents to the agreements. On September 24th, President Wang attended President Angel s inaugural ceremony Clark s ninth president, together with over 100 American university presidents.
On September 25th, President Wang visited CapitolUniversity and was welcomed by President Michael Wood, Robert Weiler, Dean of College of Engineering and others. The two universities, upon detailed discussions, agreed to initiate a 3+1 program for joint education of electrical engineering undergraduates.
The President s American tour extended SDUST s cooperation with US higher learning institutions.
