Vice President of Schneider Electric visited SMU

On September 25, Mr. Albert Kan, Vice President of Schneider Electric visited SMU. Prof. Jin Yongxing, SMU Vice President met the guests.
Mr. Albert Kan introduced the self-developed marine platform for saving energy which aimed at ensuring the safety of the ship, saving energy, reducing emissions and achieving the goal of green shipping. Schneider Electric Company wished to cooperate with SMU in those regards. Both sides express the willingness to strengthen cooperation in fields of scientific research, personnel training and curriculum development.
Since 2005, SMU started cooperative relations with Schneider Electric Company. In 2008, both sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding and established the SMU-Schneider Electric Joint Lab.
