President Jiang Chengyu Visited Spanish and Egyptian Universities

A NPU delegation headed by President Jiang Chengyu visited Madrid Polytechnic University, Valencia Polytechnic University, Egyptian Military Technical College and Menofia University.

During the visit in Egyptian Military Technical College, the two universities agreed to establish friendly relations and to cooperate in students exchange and training. NPU and MTC signed the cooperation framework agreement and exchanged views on further cooperation.

While visiting Madrid Polytechnic University, President Jiang briefed NPU's recent developments, and signed agreements for student programs as part of China Scholarship Council's initiative, including two modes of cooperation. One is the graduating master's degree holders study in Spain for a PhD degree, and the other is graduating undergraduates of NPU study for a master's degree and a PhD degree at UPM. In addition, the two universities will also cooperate in short-term students exchange.

When visiting Valencia Polytechnic University, President Jiang and the president of Valencia Polytechnic University signed the agreement on jointly student programs.

The visit was very fruitful and provided a good opportunity to have a better understanding of Spanish and Egyptian higher education which will accelerate the NPU s pace of internationalization both in education and research.
