The Aerodynamic Engineering Research Center Jointly Established with Midea

The scientific research results of the Project for Fan Design Technique Based on Aerofoil and Wing Theory and the new product of the highly-efficient and low-noise fan developed with aviation high-technology, which are joint R&D results by NPU, Shaanxi Provincial Fan and Pump Engineering Research Center and Midea Electrical Appliance Manufacturing Company Limited (Midea) in Guangdong Province, were appraised on the NPU campus on April 30.

The appraisal was attended by the leaders from Shaanxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial Department of Industry and Information, NPU Office of Science and Technology, School of Aeronautics and Midea. They reached the conclusions that the fan design technique reaches the internationally advanced level and that the new product developed by using the design technique is original and reaches the internationally advanced level as well.

Therefore they agree to pass the new product appraisal.

Then, NPU and Midea jointly held the foundating ceremony for the Aerodynamic Engineering Research Center. Vice President Wei Bingbo and Midea General Manager Zeng Wenli declared the official founding of the Aerodynamic Engineering Research Center. Wei Bingbo spoke highly of the cooperation between NPU and Midea. Zeng Wenli gave a briefing on Midea and its intimate cooperation with NPU for over 10 years and offered to carry out the in-depth cooperation in more areas.
