Recently the 2010 China Robocup Contest was held in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, and the NPU Dance Robot Innovation Base wins four first prizes, three second prizes and one third prize during the contest.
The China Robocup Contest is China's most influential and authoritative robot contest which attracts the country's top-grade robot specialists and numerous famous robot specialists and thus is one of the country's robotic high-tech industry and talent contests. It has been held for 11 times ever since 1999 and taken part in by numerous prestigious universities and research institutions.
The current contest is jointly organized by the Robocup Contest Work Committee of China Society on Automatic Control, the Robocup China Committee, the High-tech Research and Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ordos Municipal People's Government. Thus it is of the biggest scale ever since the contest.
Present at the contest are more than 900 teams from 117 universities such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiaotong University and others.
