Southwest Jiaotong University and CNR-CSTT Canada Sign Project Cooperation Agreements

On June 2, 2010,the Canadian National Research (CNR),held a ceremony signing Chinese related units for 7 projects of cooperative research agreement at the Canadian Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo. The event was the first signing between Southwest Jiaotong University and the Canadian Center for Surface Transportation Technology (CSTT). Two of the projects were related to high-speed railway rail technology and high-speed train test wheelset technology. These two projects from Southwest Jiaotong University support the implementation of national high-speed railway project research with the aim of international cooperation and scientific research through open communication. Southwest Jiaotong University s own Director of International Affairs Professor Qiu Yanjun and Canadian Trade Minister Van Rompuy attended the Shanghai World Expo Canada, coming together at a signing ceremony to facilitate the agreement. State Key Laboratory School Shi-Hui Luo, deputy director of laboratories and CNR representatives signed the agreement.
