On June 4, Prof. Lin Pinghua, Executive Vice President of HUST, attended the 2010 Annual Meeting of IBM China University Partnership Program of the Ministry of Education and the 15th Anniversary Celebration in Shanghai, and was awarded the Prize for Cooperating Achievements of IBM China University Partnership Program of the Ministry of Education in the 15th Anniversary on behalf of HUST.
The Prize honors the outstanding contribution made by the University in this Program during the past 15 years. Meanwhile, Prof. Li Guilan, Vice Dean of the School of Computer Science and Technology, Prof. Huang Xiaotao, Director of the IMB Technical Center of the Network Center, and Prof. Sun Xiaolian, Vice Director of the IMB Center were awarded the Prize for Special Contribution of the IMB China University Partnership Program of the Ministry of Education in the 15th Anniversary. And Dr. Wu Chi working for the IBM center also achieved the Prize for Excellent Teachers of the Program from 2005 to 2009. In addition, Prof. Jin Hai, Dean of the School of Computer Science and Technology and Dr. Chen Changqing were invited to join the meeting as well.
During the meeting time, Prof. Lin Pinghua made a friendly conversation with Dr. Wang Yang, Vice President of IBM and General Manager of the China Development Laboratory. They exchanged opinions on the cooperation between college and enterprise and doing education intellectually. They discussed and agreed to deep the cooperation between us.
