On Oct. 20, an ambassador delegation with 33 members headed by Yuan Guiseng, Chinese ambassador to Ecuador, together with Lin Lin, the director-general of Bureau for Chinese Diplomatic Missions Abroad visited HUST.
Dr. Lu Gang, the chairman of the university board, started with a warm welcome to the ambassador delegation on behalf of the university and made a general introduction to HUST in terms of its history, talent resources from overseas top talents and recent scientific research achievements. Then Lu Gang showed them around Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics WNLO .
Lin Lin, assistant to president, and Party chief of WNLO, introduced the overall situation of the laboratory, the current research progress, existing collaboration and latest scientific research results. After that, the delegation visited the main campus.
