October 1 is the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People`s Republic of China (PRC). The faculty members of Nanjing University (NJU) on September 29 held a grand art performance at the university`s Great Hall to celebrate the National Day.
The faculty performed songs, dances, poetry reading, traditional operas and so on to express their love and best wishes for the motherland.
Chancellor Hong Yinxing, Vice Chancellor Zhang Yibin, Vice President Tan Zhemin and Director Zhu Qingbao of the Publicity Department watched the gala performance on behalf of the university leaders.
