MoU between Tianjin University and Caterpillar Inc. Signed

On 23 April, 2007, the Signing Ceremony of MoU between Caterpillar Inc. (CAT) and Tianjin University (TU) was held in the Conference Building. Dr. YANG Xianjin, Vice President of TU and Mr. Sid Banwart, VP of CAT jointly signed the MoU. Tianjin University became the first overseas partner university of CAT.

As the MoU states, from the date of signing, CAT will cooperate with School of Mechanical Engineering of TU in the fields of scholarship program, curriculum design, internship, and continuing education. On the signing ceremony, VP YANG Xianjin gave a brief introduction on the development of TU, and expressed his hope to establish collaborative relationship with CAT and extend the cooperation and exchange into more fields.

Mr. Sid Banwart gave an overview on CAT and expressed his hope to promote the collaboration with TU. Prof. HUANG Tian, Dean of School of Mechanical Engineering gave a brief introduction of the School, and discussed with representatives of CAT on collaboration details. VP Sid Banwart and his delegation also visited the Engineering Practice Center of School of Mechanical Engineering.
