Fragrant Hill in Suzhou, located on the bank of Taihu Lake, has a history of more than 2,500 years and is one of the cradles of Wu culture. Fragrant Hill Group is a group of construction craftsmen and is a product of Wu culture. In the Qing Dynasty(1644-1911), Fragrant Hill Group reached its peak.

In the past, there were many famous masters of this field. They constructed many world-famous and splendid buildings, such as the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and the Gardens of Suzhou, which are all outstanding achievements, created by Fragrant Hill Bang. The features of Fragrant Hill Bang's constructions are harmonious colors, fine structure and delicate overall arrangement.

In terms of decorations, they are versed at wooden carving, brick carving, and color paintings on architectures. What's more, the Fragrant Hill Group also made contributions to spread Chinese architectural culture around the world by building the classical and elegant gardens like those in Suzhou in countries like Japan, Canada, Singapore, Australia, USA, Spain, Russia, and South Africa.

Since the 20th century, Fragrant Hill Group began to decline because of the influence of western construction. It is in danger of dying out and is in great need of salvation and protection.
