Sponsored by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Ministry of Culture, an exhibition concerning the urban sculpture construction since the founding of the People s Republic of China is currently on display at Hall 5 and 7 until April 12.
At the end of 2009, the achievement award of the urban sculpture construction since the founding of the People s Republic of China was disclosed and the prize-winning works covering a wide variety, are not only cultural sights of the urban areas, but also integrated with the life of the residents. The exhibition displays those works through photocopies and miniatures of the works.
The prize-winning works reflect the evolution of the urban sculpture construction in the past six decades, including Monument to the People's Heroes, the sculpture of Lao-tzua and the sculpture of bauhinia from Hong Kong.
