Chen Guizhi holds a watercolor painting exhibition

Chen Guizhi, senior professor from Luxun Academy of Fine Arts is now holding a watercolor painting exhibition at Hall 4 since Oct. 25 until Nov. 3.

Chen Guizhi is a respected professor in Luxun Academy of Fine Arts. She has been devoted to education for several decades. Boasting peaceful, calm, concentrated and simple state of mind, she has been engaged in the pursuit of integrating the theory and the visual effect of the western into the traditional Chinese painting. Professor Chen Guizhi has developed a brand-new world of the watercolor painting.

The exhibits comprise a total of 60 artworks, the size of which is 75cm 90cm. The paintings boast such charm and appeal as serenity, gorgeousness, tranquility or elegance. The artist once said, only the substantial and refined spiritual world can transfer the natural scenery to the life compassion during the process of feeling the nature and the authentic art is the soul.

Chen Guizhi has been devoted into the creation of the flower painting and regarded her understanding and expression of the flowers as the symbol of personal emotion and character. Professor Chen has combine different languages and vocabulary in the term of the style, expressing a peaceful and placid world. Her artworks reflect the freshness of breaking away from the tradition.
