NBPC Office Holds a Special Lecture on UN Convention Against Corruption and its Implementation Review Mechanism (Photos)

In an effort to observe the spirit of the fifth plenary session of the coordination group on studying and implementing the UN Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC), actively prepare for the coming implementation review, and further strengthen capacity building of cadres, on the morning of December 28 NBCP (National Bureau of Corruption Prevention) Office held a special lecture on UNCAC. Tian Lixiao, Director of the Third Division of the Department of Treaty and Law of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China was invited to introduce information related to UNCAC and its implementation review mechanism. Cui Hairong, Deputy Director of NBCP attended the lecture and delivered a speech.

Drawing on his experiences of participating in the drafting and signing of the Convention and in the negotiations of related intergovernmental working groups including the implementation review mechanism under the framework of the Convention, Tian Lixiao presented to the audience a panoramic view concerning the issuance background, negotiation process and major characteristics of the Convention. He also exchanged views with other participants on the procedures and measures of the implementation review mechanism.
