Changsha Ranks Among China's Happiest Cities of 2010

The award ceremony of China's happiest cities of 2010, entitled "Create Happiness, We Meet in Changsha" was held on the evening of Dec.26 in Changsha. Changsha is honored for the third time and is the only city crowned both the golden award and the livelihood satisfaction award.

Besides, Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province and Chengdu in Sichuan Province got the highest honor on special livelihood contribution award; Kunming in Yunnan Province and Changchun in Jilin Province got the golden award; Yixing in Jiangsu Province and Yuyao in Zhejiang Province got the livelihood contribution award.

Deputy Secretary of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee Xie Jianhui delivered a speech on behalf of the municipal CPC committee and the municipal government.

He remarked that different cities' gathering in Changsha to share their respective kind of happiness on the grand occasion is bound to pave a road of happiness to friendship, cooperation and communication among the cities. He also urged joint efforts from all the cities to create a happy life and a bright future.

During the ceremony, leaders and respective citizens from 20 cities together with some experts and scholars witnessed the rating of China's happiest cities of 2010.
