YAU Holds Ceremony for Signing an Interuniversity Exchange Contract with the Soka University, Japan

In the afternoon of September 22, ceremony for signing a contract of interuniversity exchange between Yan an University and the Soka University, Japan was held at the Students Activity Center of YAU. YAU President Lian Zhenmin, President of the Board of Trustees of Soka University Yasunori Tashiro, Head of the Office in Beijing of Soka University, leaders of the Teaching Affairs Office and International Exchange Office and 400 students of YAU attended the ceremony. YAU Vice President Hu Junsheng presided over the ceremony.

In his speech, President Lian expressed thanks to the SokaUniversity and Japanese friends for their support for Yan an University in the past years. He hopes that the interuniversity cooperation in many areas could be promoted through this contract under the theme of friendship, exchange, cooperation and development , and rich achievements could be achieved in personnel exchange and scientific research. President Yasunori Tashiro gave a speech too. He hoped joint effort could be made so as to produce more talents who would undertake the cause of friendship between China and Japan.

Then President Lian and President Yasunori Tashiro signed the contract.
