Working Conference on the Internationalization of Education held in YUFE

According to the Development Plan for the Internationalization of Education in YUFE (2010-2020), during the coming decade, YUFE should make comprehensive progress in the areas of internationalization of education, open and tolerant ideology, rich teaching resources and qualified service. The goal is for it to become an influential and attractive finance and economics university in southeast and south Asia.

Vice President Zhou Yue presided at the conference in which president Wang Rong gave an important lecture titled Promoting a Stable and Sound Development of Internationalization of Education in YUFE. During the conference, Vice President Yin Hong reported on the working situation of the university. Attendees were able to review the history of internationalization of education at YUFE, especially the achievements in the Eleventh Five-Year Plan. New plans and arrangements for the work of internationalization of education in the coming decade have been made.

Wang pointed out that this conference was a landmark for the work of internationalization of education at YUFE. The conference not only summarized the achievements and experience of previous work but also made clear goals and objectives for the coming ten years. Wang believed that this conference would promote the comprehensive and stable development of the work of internationalization.
President Wang also analyzed the differences of awareness, systems, qualities and scales in the work of internationalization of education. He emphasized that each department should carefully implement the Plan and schools should develop their own international programs as soon as possible.
In Vice President Yin s report, the current situation and existing problems and difficulties were carefully analyzed in detail. He also explained the content of the Plan, which consisted of four parts: strategic objectives, specific projects, optimized environment of policy and creative mode of management.

The opening ceremony of the Researching Center of Global Issues in the Asia-Pacific region was also held during the conference. Li Dingxin, the director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, read the letter of greeting from the vice chairman of the committee for the Center.
Liu Ersi, the head of the International Business School, and Secretary Jin Guoxing from the ASEAN School introduced the basic situation, defining features and development plan of the schools and raised constructive suggestions.

During the conference, the attendees had fierce discussion on the Development Plan for Internationalization of Education in YUFE (2010-2020), which would guide the direction of the Twelfth Five-Year Plan.
