CSU Chico delegation visited ZSTU

On Oct. 22, the three-person delegation from CaliforniaStateUniversity, Chico, headed by Vice-President Professor Sandra Flake, paid a visit to ZSTU.

On that morning, the delegation, accompanied by ZSTU International Exchange & Cooperation Division, was showed around the campus, including the Gymnasium, the HistoryMuseum, the library, the dormitory of international students, and School of Art & Design. On that afternoon, President Qiu Songliang, together with the officials from School of Foreign Language Studies, School of Art & Design, and International Exchange & Cooperation Division, had a friendly meeting with the delegation.

At the meeting, President Qiu firstly extended warm welcome to the delegation and then gave a detailed demonstration of the history of ZSTU and the accomplishments that ZSTU has achieved in recent years in terms of talent education, academic research, discipline construction, international exchange and cooperation. In the meantime, President Qiu expressed sincere expectations that the two universities could have more substantial cooperation in the future. Prof. Flake said that they were deeply impressed by the long history of ZSTU, the beautiful campus and the advanced teaching facilities. She indicated that ZSTU and CSU had much in common with regard to the education history and scale, the disciplines and research directions, which paved the way for further cooperation in terms of the exchange between teachers and students and the academic research. After the meeting, the two universities signed a memo for collegiate cooperation.
