ZSTU Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and Sodality of Chinese Students and Scholars Studying Abroad and Their Folks founded

Recently, the inaugurating meeting of ZSTU Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and Sodality of Chinese Students and Scholars Studying Abroad and Their Folks was held at the auditorium on the 1^st floor of AdministrationBuilding. Wang Chengyun Vice President of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and President of Zhejiang Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Zhang Weiren Secretary-General of Zhejiang Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Fei Junqing Party Secretary of ZSTU, Jin Jinru Assistant Secretary of ZSTU and Shi Yong an party member as well as Head of Organization Department and United Front Work Department of ZSTU Party Committee attended the meeting. Family members of returned Overseas Chinese of ZSTU, returned students and scholars from studying abroad, representatives of Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese of other schools and of united front organizations participated in it, too. The meeting was hosted by Secretary-General of ZSTU Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (Sodality of Chinese Students and Scholars Studying Abroad).

At the meeting, Approval Reply for the Foundation and Recommended Member List of ZSTU Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and Sodality of Chinese Students and Scholars Studying Abroad by Party Group of Zhejiang Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese was pronounced and Constitution of ZSTU Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and Constitution of ZSTU Sodality of Chinese Students and Scholars Studying Abroad were passed. Meanwhile, members of the 1^st session of the federation and the sodality council were selected: Wu Ziying was selected as the president and chairman, Wang Zhaoqing as the standing vice president and standing vice-chairman, Han Jian and Cai Huihua as the vice presidents and vice-chairmen and Lin Nan as Secretary-General.

Then President and Chairman elect Wu Ziying delivered a speech. She expressed her wish to improve the consciousness, sense of mission and responsibility to do the job well, made up her mind to bring tangible benefits to all the returned overseas Chinese and their folks meanwhile unite and lead them to contribute to the prosperity of the country and ZSTU. Zhu Jingdong representative of other schools and President of Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Zhejiang University of Technology, Zheng Xuming representative of ZSTU united front organization and Chairman of ZSTU Knowledge Association extended their congratulations separately.

Wang Chengyun analyzed the importance of the federation and the urgency to set up such organizations in colleges. He said that the official foundation of ZSTU Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and Sodality of Chinese Students and Scholars Studying Abroad adapted to the development at home and abroad, to the change of returned overseas Chinese, and met the common needs of the development of colleges and the cause of returned overseas Chinese. He hoped that the federation and solidarity could play a positive role in the inspiration of creative ideas, unity of strength and prominence of features centered on ethical education, based on organization development, focused on the leading group construction, ensured by institution building and carried by innovation activity and therefore make contributions to the new round of reform and development of ZSTU, to the advancement of the federation and sodality and the fulfillment of general strategy of Two Creations of Zhejiang province.

Fei Junqing said that it s a big, grand and happy event of the foundation of the federation and sodality in school s political life. He expressed gratitude to the long-term contribution of these people to the construction and development of ZSTU. Besides, he made three requirements: Firstly, reinforce learning, unify thoughts and enhance the sense of mission and responsibility for federation s work; Secondly, perform function, improve ability and give full play to the organization; Thirdly, develop itself, perfect working mechanism, innovate working methods and carry forward self-construction. At last, he hoped that the federation could do its job creatively and devote to ZSTU s development.
