The Department of Culture of Guangdong Province and Sun Yet-set University Signed the Cooperation Agreement

The signing ceremony for the cooperation framework agreement between the department of Culture of Guangdong province and Sun Yet-set University took place on the afternoon of March 19 in the Swasey Hall of the South Campus SYSU. Minister Fang Jianhong, Vice-minister Li Hu, Deputy-inspector Wang Yequn, Su Guifen, President of SYSU Huang Daren, Deputy-secretary Xu Ningsheng, Chen Chunsheng and others were present at the ceremony. About 40 participants had attended the ceremony presided over by Deputy-secretary Liang Qingyan.

President Huang Daren and Minister Fang Jianhong signed the agreement on behalf of the two sides.
At the ceremony, Mr. Fang maintained that the Provincial department of Culture and SYSU would work together to utilize the teaching facilities of SYSU and the advanced research achievements, combining the resources and brand superiority of Guangdong province in order to promote the development of Guangdong culture in various fields.

President Huang Daren expressed his acknowledgment to the
Provincial department of Culture for the faith and support it has for SYSU and said that the cooperation with the Provincial Culture Department has offered an opportunity to the
humanities of SYSU, The president urged the departments of our school and research groups to seize the opportunity and make contributions to the improvement of the culture of Guangdong province based on world standards, the need of the nation, and particularly the need of Guangdong,.

According to the cooperation agreement, SYSU and the Provincial Culture Department will launch enhanced collaboration in five fields including the bureau of cultural relics and museum, non-material cultural heritage protection and heritage industry, cultural and creative industries, libraries and information platform construction, and professional arts.
