The seminar for Studying abroad in Japan and employment with Japanese owned companies took place at SYSU

Co-sponsored by the South China Institute of Japan Study of SYSU and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao-Japan Association of Research Universities, the seminar for Studying abroad in Japan and employment with Japanese owned companies took place on March 7 on the south campus of Sun Yat-sen University. Waseda University, Osaka University, Northeastern University, Kyushu University, Okinawa University and other Japanese schools were invited to participate in the event to give an overview introduction over the education and study in Japan. Meanwhile, Japanese ventures that station in Guangdong such as Mitsubishi were also invited to provide consultation on employment with Japanese owned companies in China.

In the opening ceremony, Mr. Wang Erxin, deputy head of the career center at SYSU, noted that, this recruitment seminar is of great significance, in that it provides the university students with a platform to inquire about the problems concerning employment with the Japanese owned companies and tertiary institutions. Mr. Michihiko Komatsu, deputy consul-general of Japanese Consul General in Guangzhou affirmed the significance of the event in his speech, and stated that, Chinese students are welcomed to study in Japan, and work in Japanese corporations, so as to make contributions to promote the Sino-Japan friendship.
At the Recruitment fair, teachers from universities in Guangdong, students and their parents made inquiries with Waseda University and Osaka University, regarding the education in Japan, and the dos and don ts with Mitsubishi and other Japanese companies on employment with Japanese owned companies. During the event, representatives from the Association of Hong Kong Students Studying in Japan explained the policies for students who wanted to study in Japan. And representatives of Guangzhou Sakura Japanese Language School presented the state of Japanese language education. Approximately 600 people had attended the seminar .

Visiting scholars from Japan and representatives of teachers from universities in Guangdong had also participated in the discussion session centered on the Possibilities of Cooperation between Education Institutions in Japan and Guangdong Province .
