On February 20, two DF7G diesel-electric locomotives were delivered to Qinghai-Tibet Railway Co., Ltd. They will arrive in Lhasa in the end of this month.
The shunting locomotives are specially designed to suit for less air supply in the Qinghai-Tibet plateau. They adopted 16V240 diesel engine with ABB turbochargers. The locomotives feature standstorm proof, wind and snow proof, thunder and lighting proof, as well as against cold and UV.
The director of equipment department of MOR, Sun Jingbin, inspected the locomotives. He satisfied the design and quality of locomotives and gave some suggestion.
