CNR offered 960 new type70-tone wagons for China Railway In 2005. As the key wagon designers and manufacturers, CNR subsidiaries, CNR Qiqihar Railway Rolling Stock (Group) Co., Ltd., CNR Taiyuan Locomotive & Rolling Stock Works and CNR Xi an Rolling Stock Works, developed various types of 70-tone wagon in 2005, which including covered wagon, open -top wagon, flat wagon, hopper wagon and tank wagon. 17 domestic wagon Works imported and adopted their design results in wagon production.
The 70-tone wagon features 23-25 tone axle load and frame brace bogie. It can increase freight traffic of wagon train from 5,000-tone to 6,000-tone.
