In may, 2007, FOTON has sponsored and organized a team to participate in the Third China Around Taklimakan Rally known as oriental Dakar for the first time. FOTON SUP, as the only production car which has not been remodeled, not only has satisfactorily finished the competition at all stages by ranking as the front three in diesel team, but also miraculously won the championships in the most difficult three stages, competing for a championship in the King Racing Car in Desert Contest, and FOTON SUP has finally won the award cup of the Most Durable Pickup in the Around Taklimakan Rally.
