First Batch Order for MP-X from Overseas

On April 23, 20 units of MP-X will be ready for shipment from Tianjin Port, the first batch export of MP-X in overseas sales. Li Xingxing, Director of the Passenger Vehicle Business of the Overseas Operations indicated that this order is resulted from the efforts of the Passenger Vehicle Sales Company via the in-depth market survey and optimization of products based on market demand. The practice provides a reference in terms of experiences and concepts for similar products of Foton Motor to penetrate the international markets.
In September 2008, the Passenger Vehicle Sales Company conducted an in-depth survey to the H1 market and targeted at the world second largest H1 market---the Philippines. In consideration to the subtropical climate, economic and comparatively poor road conditions in the Philippines and after rounds of discussions with the dealer UAAGI, key vehicle models for promotion were selected and communications were facilitated with R&D of Foton Motor for renovations to better satisfy the market requirements. Under the efforts from various parties, an economic vehicle equipped with diesel engine and 8 seats has been brought up for the time, which is considered for better adaptation to the Philippines market for mid and high level business utility purposes.
On April 2, this MP-X version made its debut in the 09 Manila International Auto Show, when the State Television Station of the Philippines, AuTo REVIEW and other medias made broad reports. The timely popularization achieved good social responses. In addition, for promotion of MP-X, UAAGI increased dealers from 7 to 11, effectively covering the Philippines market and laying a solid foundation for MP-X to take over the market
