A contract signing ceremony for the secondary refining units (SRU) of SAIL BSP was convened in Bhilai of India on March 8, 2010. This works is to be undertaken by WISDRI Engineering & Research Incorporation Ltd. (WISDRI). Overseas Director Xu Xueqing of WISDRI, Commercial General Manager Mr. Agarwal of BSP, and Chief Engineer Lu Zhiwen of WISDRI s Steel-making Business Division (as a attesting witness) signed the contract.
The project scope covers three 165t LF, three 165t argon flushing stations, one 165tRH vacuum treatment installation, as well as the design, supply and installation of the relevant supportive facilities. This works is one of the key parts of BSP s expansion plan, under which the annual output capacity is to be increased from 3 million tons to 7 million tons. As a matter of fact, this is also the largest EPC SRU project in terms of device supply on Indian market.
The bagging of this contract is derived from the long-term painstaking efforts made by WISDRI for exploration of Indian market, and has aroused great concern and response among the steel industry in this country. It is believed that this achievement will lay a consolidated foundation for WISDRI s implementation of market exploration strategy in India.
