A memorandum signing ceremony was held at DICP on 26th March. The Cooperation Memorandum between the State Key Laboratory of Catalysis of DICP and the Catalysis Research Center of Technical University Munich(CRC-TUM) signified an enhanced collaborative relationship of the two institutes. Present in the ceremony were Prof.
ZHANG Tao, Director of DICP, Prof. Notker Roesch, Director of CRC-TUM, Mr. XU Gang, Officer of DICP in charge of international cooperation, and Heads of DICP laboratories related to catalysis research. Prof. LI Jun of the the Tsing Hua University was also invited to attend the ceremony.
The ceremony was presided over by Prof. LI Can, Head of the State Key Laboratory of Catalysis of DICP. Then, he signed the memorandum together with Prof. Roesch. After the signing of the memorandum, Prof. Roesch was invited to give a lecture on the topic of "The Catalysis Research Center of Technical University Munich: A New Research Opportunity and its Environment".
During his stay in DICP, Prof. Roesch visited the two State Key Laboratories of DICP, namely, The Laboratory of Catalysis and The Laboratory of Molecular Dynamics. He also carried out detailed discussions with Prof. ZHANG Tao, Prof. LI Can, Prof. YANG Xueming, Prof. LI Weixue and Dr. PAN Xiulian.
The signing of the cooperation memorandum will help to strengthen the mutual academic exchange and cooperation of the two institutes in the areas of heterogeneous catalysis, surface chemistry, photocatalysis, computational catalytic chemistry, nano-catalysis, new catalytic materials, catalytic characterization, renewable energies, fuel cells, polymers, reaction engineering, and homogeneous catalysis.
