The 4th session of the 11th the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) of Dongguan concluded yesterday after three days of discussion and debate on the city's pressing issues.

Chairman of the CPPCC of Dongguan Mr. Liu Shuji presided over the conclusion ceremony, pledging efforts to accelerate the industrial advancement in Dongguan and to maintain steady and relatively rapid economic development in 2010.
The meeting adopted the annual work report of the Standing Committee the 11th Dongguan CPPCC, and the report detailing how CPPCC members' suggestions and proposals from the last session had been handled. The meeting also elected two new Vice Chairmen of Dongguan CPPCC, and heard government work report from Dongguan Government.

According to Liu, the overall environment for economic development this year will be better than last year, but the economic situation remains complicated due to the pressure brought by the financial crisis.
Liu said many members of the CPPCC of Dongguan are experts and scholars in various fields, and the CPPCC of Dongguan will make good use of this advantage to provide strong support to the city's economic development.
