Yesterday, a group consisting of representatives of Dalian Municipal Bureau of Tourism, Dalian Forestry Bureau and Dalian Public Security Fire Bureau, led by Vice Mayor Sun Guangtian, came to the Forest Fire Prevention Command Center of Dalian High-tech Industrial Zone, the National Forest Park in the west suburbs of Dalian and Dalian Forest Zoo for an inspection on fire protection. They mainly checked on the management systems, fire fighting facilities, fire exits and safe utilization of fire, electricity, oil and gas.
The forest in Dalian High-tech Industrial Zone covers an area of over 100 square kilometers, and the fire control there is very arduous. Last year, with an input of more than 6 million yuan, the district set up the Forest Fire Prevention Command Center, which takes up an area of 1,800 square meters, and a 42-member professional forest fire fighting brigade in Lingshui Neighborhood. The central system consists of three sub-systems: a video monitoring system, a video conferencing system and a wireless dispatching system. The front-end monitoring system is composed of a video capture system, a fire detection system, etc. Sun affirmed the Center s work after watching their firefighting drills.
At Dalian Forest Zoo, the person in charge told the group that they had done a self-inspection on fire safety not long ago and had tackled the existing problems. They will take forest fire control as the greatest priority during the holiday season.
Sun stressed that all the localities and departments should promote the implementation of the fire safety responsibility system through inspection, clearing up and controlling hidden dangers, and addressing all the weak points and problems in their work.
