On December 15 2010, Vice President Professor Zhang Li met Professor Joao L. Monteiro, Former Vice President of University of Minho Portugal on University City Campus and exchanged views on the two universities cooperation in scientific research and student training. The main purpose of Professor Joao L. Monteiro s visit was to prepare a common Doctorate Programme on Embedded Systems which would be run in parallel in several universities all over the world and apply for financial support to an Erasmus Mundus programme.
In the afternoon, Professor Joao L. Monteiro gave a report on embedded systems and sensor networks to some graduate students of Faculty of Automation and communicated with the Faculty research team on mutually-interested topics.
